Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai - The Making
Thank you writers for giving so many meaty scenes to Nia and Karan. Its almost like they were dying to ‘act’ and grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Always knew that Nia was a rockstar but man Karan totally proved he’s more than just a pretty (supremely pretty!) face!
I totally get that bringing in this Virat versus Viren thing now that Virat will be in the loop with the cancer ordeal will bring a new feel to the show, BUT it seems a bit illogical that Manan wouldn’t have just made a fake excuse for Manvi inability to donate blood. But I guess if they did that then it would wipe out chances of Virat finding out which I am all for!
Hope the ‘No dragging’ mantra of the show continues to be upheld and this Viren/Manvi war isn’t forever dragged out. He’ll be so cut when he does find out about it all. I really don’t care how Jeevika will react because being the predictable boring character she is we all know it will be a lot of moping and ‘Mannu this’ and Mannu that’. Bloody Mother India!
Million dollar question: what/how will Virat be a part of Manvi’s life post cancer revelation? Does he stick around in Rishikesh? Does he help the family? If he does, how does he justify it to his family? Would Beeji/crew even let him stick around? Gahhh!!! So stressful this show is ;)
Honestly these guys need to teach lessons on how to run a serial without dragging shite. Latest news is that the whole cancer revelation is around the corner. As sad, dramatic and sucky (yes its a word, I just made it one!) as this will be, thank God its happening finally! They could have easily dragged it on and inserted bakwaas for another 6 months (like IPKKND has done) but thankfully they’re getting on with it. The show till date has had a defined narrative that if you look back to the initial episodes, is clearly a narrative set at the outset and not something they have constructed on the way. Which is so rare for a serial which has creative decisions made mostly from audience feedback, production pressures and artists’ limitations and demands.
Yes its quite pathetic that I’m so invested in a serial nonetheless, but damn its definitely the most impressive writing in a serial in a long time!
